Compliance & Privacy

The Pulse of Your
Digital Session.

Transparency isn't just a legal requirement for us; it’s part of the FieldCraft design philosophy. This document clarifies how we use cookies to sharpen your gaming experience without compromising your data integrity.

Defining the Digital Breadcrumbs

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that allow FieldCraft to remember your preferences across sessions. In the context of our gaming applications, these aren't just technical markers—they are the memory of the interface. They allow us to skip the redundant onboarding screens, remember your high-latency network adjustments, and ensure the HUD remains exactly where you left it.

At FieldCraft, we categorize our cookies into three distinct functional tiers. By understanding these, you can make informed decisions about your digital footprint within our ecosystem. We prioritize privacy, meaning we never use cookies to bridge your identity to third-party advertising networks.

Essential Infrastructure

These are strictly necessary for the application to function. Without them, secure login sessions and game-state synchronization would fail. These do not require consent as they are vital to the service you've requested.

  • • Session ID Integrity
  • • CSRF Security Tokens

Performance Tuning

FieldCraft uses these to monitor frame-rate stability and load times across different hardware configurations in Germany. This data is anonymized and used strictly for technical optimization and bug suppression.

Note: Helps us optimize for low-bandwidth village networks.

Technical Honesties

Our Assumption

We assume users value a fast-loading, low-latency interface over personalized third-party content. Therefore, our focus is almost entirely on "First Party" functionality.

The Constraint

Disabling functional cookies will inevitably lead to repeated haptic calibration steps and loss of locally stored UI preferences across our applications.

What would change our view

If browser privacy standards (like GPC) evolve to provide better native performance management, we would phase out local storage markers entirely in favor of those native browser tools.

USER TIP

Browser Governance

Most browsers allow you to block cookies entirely. However, this is a "blunt tool" that might break specific UI features within FieldCraft apps, such as saved controller mappings.

Self-Purging Sessions

Our analytics cookies have a sunset period of 13 months. We do not believe in perpetual tracking; if you haven't visited in a year, we believe your data should naturally expire.

Local Storage (LS)

For heavier data like cached textures or community vibe assessments, we use Local Storage which is more robust than a standard cookie. This stays on your device and isn't sent with server requests.

Common Configuration Errors

Mistake #1

Incognito-Only Play

Result: Losing your technical performance calibrations every single time you launch the Web-App.

Mistake #2

Hard-Clearing Cache

Result: Triggering deep security re-authentication loops unnecessarily on mid-range devices.

Mistake #3

Ad-Block Overreach

Result: Occasionally blocking our internal haptic-feedback loop scripts, thinking they are tracking scripts.

The Fix

Whitelist fieldcraft.site

By whitelisting our domain, you ensure only our intentional performance cookies run while others stay blocked.

Lead Privacy Officer Chief Data Architect's View

"Accepting cookies is a vote for UI continuity."

The modern web treats cookies like a dark art, but at FieldCraft, we view them as the technical "Field Manual" for your browser. While we respect total privacy, opting out of functional cookies significantly degrades the tactile speed of our apps. We don't promise a 100% better life, but we do promise a much more coherent session.
